Xiaomi has finally released the global version of Redmi Watch 6, more than 6 months after its Chinese launch, adding to the lineup of best smartwatches of 2026. The new device is already available for purchase in Poland, Romania, and Thailand, while the NFC version for contactless payments is currently only available in Poland. For those who have been waiting for the global version of the sixth generation, this is good news, although the watch hasn’t officially reached Russia yet.

Where to Buy Redmi Watch 6 and at What Price

Global sales have launched in three countries. The standard version of Redmi Watch 6 costs PLN 449 in Poland (approximately $123), RON 519 in Romania (approximately $115), and THB 3,190 in Thailand (approximately $97 on sale, regular price — THB 4,190, about $128). The NFC version is currently only sold in Poland for PLN 499 (approximately $137, meaning the surcharge for contactless payments is about 11%).

The smartwatch has officially gone on sale in Europe.

Converted to rubles at the current exchange rate with markup, the standard version costs approximately 13,000 ₽, while the NFC version is about 15,000 ₽ in Russia, based on global prices. For comparison: the previous Redmi Watch 5 was sold in Russia at a recommended price of about 11,000 ₽.

When exactly Redmi Watch 6 will appear in Russia, Xiaomi has not yet announced. But given that the global version has already been released, the wait is likely not much longer. In China, the watch appeared back in October 2025 at a price of 599 yuan (about 7,000 ₽).

Redmi Watch 6 Display Specifications

The Redmi Watch 6 display diagonal remains the same: 2.07 inches, just like the Redmi Watch 5. The resolution is 432 by 514 pixels, refresh rate is 60 Hz, and bezels are 2 mm on each side. The screen-to-body ratio is 82%. Something similar, albeit with a smaller diagonal, is offered by the new HUAWEI Watch Fit 5.

The main change is that peak brightness has increased to 2,000 nits. The previous generation had 1,500 nits. The difference is noticeable in practice: in bright sunlight, information on the screen is significantly easier to read. There’s also an Always-On Display mode and automatic screen wake when raising your wrist.

Redmi Watch 6 Design and Controls

The Redmi Watch 6 body is made of aluminum alloy and has become thinner: 9.9 mm versus 11.3 mm on the previous generation — a difference of 1.4 mm. Xiaomi also notes a 20% increase in Vickers hardness and a 40% increase in yield strength, meaning the body should be stronger and more resistant to damage.

A second physical button has appeared on the side. Previously, there was only one — the crown. Now the additional button opens the control center, the restart and power-off menu, and a triple press calls an emergency contact. The logic is similar to Apple Watch: there, the second button is also used for quick access to important features.

Redmi Watch 6 Battery Life

They promise 24 days on a single charge, which is very impressive. Image: Xiaomi

The battery remains at 550 mAh, same as the Redmi Watch 5. But the claimed battery life varies depending on the usage scenario:

  • Up to 24 days — with minimal load (few notifications, no GPS workouts)
  • Up to 12 days — with normal use (notifications, health tracking, short workouts)
  • Up to 7 days — with intensive use (frequent GPS workouts, Bluetooth calls, always-on display)

The real Redmi Watch 6 battery life for most users will likely be around 10–12 days — a solid result for a watch with an AMOLED screen of this size. For comparison: Apple Watch Ultra 2 lasts a maximum of 3 days, and Samsung Galaxy Watch7 — about 2 days.

Redmi Watch 6 Health and Fitness Features

The Redmi Watch 6 feature set for fitness and health monitoring is standard for this class, but quite extensive:

  • Over 150 sports modes
  • Independent GNSS satellite navigation (five systems, dual L1 antenna with automatic signal selection)
  • 5ATM water resistance — suitable for pool swimming
  • 24/7 heart rate and blood oxygen (SpO2) monitoring
  • Sleep, stress, and breathing exercise tracking
  • Alerts for abnormal heart rate and low oxygen levels
  • Women’s health calendar

The dual GNSS antenna with automatic selection of the stronger signal is a small but useful detail. During a run or bike ride, the route is recorded more accurately, even if the watch is half-hidden under a sleeve or glove. The linear motor supports over 20 vibration patterns, so notifications, alarms, and reminders feel different — this is more convenient than it seems on paper.

Redmi Watch 6 with NFC Support

The Redmi Watch 6 NFC version supports contactless payments via Mastercard and Visa. This is an important point: in the Chinese version, NFC only worked with local payment systems like Alipay and city transit cards. The global version is adapted for international cards.

However, the NFC model is currently only available in Poland, and Xiaomi has not yet published a full list of supported banks.
