The race for battery life in 2026 is gaining momentum. Devices with batteries that were previously only found in power banks are increasingly appearing in the rankings of the longest-lasting Android smartphones. Manufacturers are breaking new records one after another. And there are already smartphones with 10,000 mAh batteries. Until recently, Xiaomi was absent from this club. But judging by fresh leaks, the situation is about to change. Here’s what we know.

Waiting for the release of Xiaomi with the most powerful battery
Smartphones with 10,000 mAh Batteries
Before talking about Xiaomi’s plans, it’s worth looking at who has already released smartphones with 10,000 mAh batteries and what you can buy right now.
HONOR went further than anyone. HONOR WIN was released in December 2025 with a battery of exactly 10,000 mAh and a flagship Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 inside.
Following that, the HONOR Power 2 appeared in January 2026 with a 10,080 mAh battery, Dimensity 8500 Elite chip, mid-range segment. Both are available through parallel imports. And HONOR isn’t stopping there: according to leaks, the company is preparing a smartphone with a battery up to 15,000 mAh. That’s already beyond reasonable, but HONOR has clearly decided to make the battery the brand’s main feature.
The only smartphone with a 10,000 mAh battery on the global market right now is the realme P4 Power.
It was officially released in Russia in early April 2026 and currently remains the most affordable option in this category. Here’s what it offers:
- 10,001 mAh battery with 80W charging (full cycle in about an hour);
- Dimensity 7400 processor (mid-range, but sufficient for daily tasks);
- 6.8-inch screen, 144 Hz;
- 50-megapixel main camera;
- IP69 protection (can be soaked without worry);
- price starting from 25,000 rubles.
For that kind of money, it’s an honest offer for those who value battery life above everything else. You can find out what battery a smartphone really needs in 2026 in a separate article where I analyze in which scenarios a 10,000 mAh battery changes the game and in which it’s overkill.
Xiaomi with the Biggest Battery
Currently, among Xiaomi, Redmi, and POCO smartphones, the battery capacity record is held by REDMI Turbo 5 Max (9,000 mAh). This is a China-exclusive model based on Dimensity 9500s that is not officially available in Russia.

On the international market, the situation is slightly better. POCO X8 Pro Max (the global version of REDMI Turbo 5 Max) is already being sold in Russia. Dimensity 9500s processor, Xiaomi battery under the POCO brand at 8,500 mAh, 100W charging, 6.83-inch AMOLED screen with QHD+, IP68/IP69K protection. The price in Russia ranges from 37,000 to 43,000 rubles depending on configuration. This is the most battery-efficient smartphone from Xiaomi available outside China right now.
The POCO X8 Pro Max Xiaomi battery — a genuine 8,500 mAh that in practice provides a day and a half to two days of active use. By 2026 standards, that’s good, but the 10,000 mAh from realme and HONOR already make this a mid-level result.
What Will the Xiaomi with a 10,000 mAh Battery Be Like
According to insider Digital Chat Station, Xiaomi is testing a device with a 10,000 mAh battery. Leaks point to two versions: one based on Dimensity 8500, the other on a Snapdragon 7-series with a 6.8-inch 1.5K LTPS display. Neither will have wireless charging (capacity and affordable pricing are the priority).
Discussions in professional communities suggest that the Xiaomi with 10,000 mAh will most likely be released under the REDMI brand (possibly as REDMI Note 17 Pro Max). The Note series traditionally gets the biggest batteries in the affordable segment. The previous generation, REDMI Note 15 Pro+, has 6,500 mAh. The jump to 10,000 mAh would be a record for the lineup.

The record-breaker is expected in the new REDMI Note series
Additional details: leaks mention a 200-megapixel main camera and 100W charging. This is a direct continuation of the Note 15 Pro+ formula but with a qualitatively different battery. A smartphone battery life record from Xiaomi is a matter of the coming months.
Release Date and Price of the Xiaomi with the Most Powerful Battery
There is no specific date (the information comes only from leaks). Based on the historical pattern, the REDMI Note series launches in China in the third quarter, meaning approximately August-September 2026. If the REDMI Note 17 with a 10,000 mAh battery indeed receives that name and maintains the release cycle, the announcement should be expected in the summer.
The price of the Xiaomi with a 10,000 mAh battery on the global market is still unknown, but there are reference points. The REDMI Note 15 Pro+ in China cost about $300 (~23,000 ₽). Taking into account the significantly larger battery and rising component costs in 2026, a reasonable forecast for the REDMI Note 17 Pro Max is around $350-400 (up to 30,000 ₽) in China. The global version traditionally costs slightly more than the Chinese original.
