Not long ago, a detailed review of the Xiaomi Smart Band 10 — the younger model of the updated lineup — was published. Now the older version has appeared on the horizon: according to insider Digital Chat Station, the new Xiaomi Smart Band 10 Pro may launch as early as May 2026. The main highlight: for the first time in the history of the Band lineup, Xiaomi may offer a ceramic body. This changes the device’s positioning — and possibly its price. Here’s what we know and whether it’s worth waiting.

What Is Known About Xiaomi Smart Band 10 Pro

Information about the new Mi Band 10 Pro came from Digital Chat Station — one of the most reliable Chinese insiders in the gadget space. There is no official announcement from Xiaomi yet: this is a leak, not a press release. But Digital Chat Station rarely gets the details wrong.

According to the leak, the Mi Band 10 Pro will come in several color options: black, white, silver, orange, and pink. The main feature is a separate version with a white ceramic body. For the fitness band segment, this is an unusual material: ceramics are typically used in more expensive smartwatches, where they are valued for their pleasant tactile feel, scratch resistance, and premium appearance.

Design and Weight of Xiaomi Smart Band 10 Pro

This is the most important detail from everything known about the Xiaomi Smart Band 10 Pro specifications. The standard version reportedly weighs less than 40 grams, while the ceramic version weighs over 50 grams. The previous Xiaomi Smart Band 9 Pro weighs just 24.5 grams. The difference is nearly twofold.

For a fitness band, weight is critical. Many people choose the Smart Band 9 Pro precisely for its lightness: you barely feel it on your wrist and can sleep with it without discomfort. If the Mi Band 10 Pro fitness band really does weigh 40-50+ grams, the wearing experience will change dramatically. That’s already the territory of lightweight smartwatches, not bands.

50 grams is a lot for a fitness band.

The weight increase is likely due to specific engineering decisions: a larger battery, reinforced body, or additional health sensors. But there is no confirmed data on this yet.

To understand the starting point for the new generation Xiaomi smart band, it’s worth looking at the predecessor. Smart Band 9 Pro was released in October 2024 and offers a serious feature set:

  • 1.74-inch AMOLED display with up to 1200 nits brightness;
  • Built-in GPS with support for five satellite systems;
  • Over 150 sports modes;
  • Heart rate, blood oxygen, sleep, and stress monitoring;
  • 5 ATM water resistance (suitable for pool swimming);
  • Up to 21 days of battery life;
  • Aluminum body weighing 24.5 grams.

In terms of overall Smart Band 9 Pro specifications, it remains one of the best value fitness bands with GPS and AMOLED display in its price category. Smart Band 10 Pro is expected to surpass it. But the question is by how much and at what price.

Xiaomi Smart Band 10 Pro Specifications

The insider did not reveal specific technical specifications for the Mi Band 10 Pro. There is no data on screen size, battery capacity, new sensors, or supported features. Possible improvements in design and health tracking functions are mentioned, but without numbers, these are still just assumptions.

An interesting point: the Xiaomi Smart Band 10 Pro release date, according to the insider, may coincide with the announcement of the Xiaomi 17 Max, which is also being prepared for presentation in late May. Xiaomi often combines announcements of wearable devices and smartphones into a single event. If that happens, we’ll learn all the specifications at once.

Is It Worth Waiting for the Xiaomi Smart Band 10 Pro Release

The ceramic version is a clear step by Xiaomi toward premium positioning of the lineup. Until now, Xiaomi fitness bands have been about affordability and functionality, not materials and status. If the ceramic version gets an adequate price, it will be interesting for those who find silicone-plastic bands too simple, but full-fledged smartwatches too excessive and expensive.

Those who already wear the Smart Band 9 Pro and are happy with it shouldn’t rush. It’s still unknown what improvements the new model will bring beyond body materials. If lightweight feel on the wrist is critical for you, an increase from 24.5 to 40-50 grams is more of a minus than a plus. We’re waiting for the official announcement from Xiaomi, and then we can talk specifics.
