This game has become a true phenomenon among children worldwide — more than 60 million young players are already creating their own stories in it. Toca Boca World is a children’s sandbox-builder game from the Swedish studio Toca Boca AB. The developers used to have many separate apps: Toca Life City, Toca Life Hospital, Toca Life Vacation, and others. At some point, all these worlds were merged into one huge universe — and that’s how Toca Boca World was born.
First you create a character and start playing
The concept is simple: the child gets an open world where they can do anything they want. Create characters, decorate homes, visit shops, hospitals, restaurants, and schools. Make up stories and act out scenes. There are no traditional game rules here — no levels, timers, or “Game Over” screens. Just imagination and freedom.

I’d also like to highlight the safety aspect. Toca Boca World has no third-party advertising — none at all. There’s no chat or ability to communicate with other players. The app complies with COPPA rules for protecting children’s data. This is one of those rare games that parents don’t need to worry about.

The app is officially available in the App Store, including in the Russian segment of the store. You can download the latest version of Toca Boca on iPhone for free — all the base content comes at no cost.
The game is available in the Russian App Store
- Open the App Store on your iPhone.
- Type Toca Boca World in the search bar or follow this link.
- Tap the “Download” button and wait for the installation. The app weighs around 975 MB, so make sure there’s enough free space on your device and it’s best to download it over Wi-Fi.
Minimum requirements — iOS 16.4 or later. If you have an iPhone 8 or newer model, there won’t be any issues. The game also works perfectly on iPad and on Mac with Apple Silicon. I should also note that there is no Toca Boca hack for iPhone, and none is expected. At least for now, apps on Apple smartphones can only be installed from the App Store. Keep this in mind and don’t fall for dubious offers.
An important note for Russian users: the app itself downloads without any restrictions even with a Russian Apple ID. However, purchasing additional packs within the game may present some difficulties — I’ll cover this in more detail below.
How to Start Playing Toca Boca World After Installation
One of the main advantages of Toca Boca World is that no registration is needed to start playing. Download it, open it, and play. You don’t need to create an account, enter an email, or link social networks. It’s a children’s app, and the developers deliberately removed all barriers.
Another plus — Toca Boca World works perfectly without an internet connection. A connection is only needed for downloading the app and purchasing additional packs. The game itself is fully offline, which means your child can play in the car, on a plane, or at the countryside without Wi-Fi.
How to Make In-App Purchases in Toca Boca
The app is distributed under a free-to-play model. The base set is free, and everything else can be purchased within the game. Prices for individual packs in the international store range from $1 to $14 — roughly 100 to 1,400 rubles depending on the exchange rate and region.
What you can buy: new locations like a shopping mall, a veterinary clinic, or a superstar mansion, furniture and décor sets, character and pet packs, seasonal bundles with themed content.
If you’re downloading the game for your child, be ready for them to ask you to pay for some packs
Purchases are one-time — you pay once and keep the pack forever. There are no subscriptions within Toca Boca World itself. However, Toca Boca does have a separate service called Toca Boca+ with a subscription, but that’s a different app providing access to the studio’s catalog of older games.
The main problem for users in Russia is that payment through the App Store doesn’t work. Russian cards are not accepted.
