Digital services have long become part of our everyday lives: apps, subscriptions, games, music, movies, and other products are used by millions of users every day. At the same time, the digital payments market continues to change due to external restrictions, and users increasingly face difficulties when topping up their balances.

A new way to pay for digital services: fast, convenient, and without linking a bank card.

Payment service A3 has launched Apple ID Russia top-up using Apple gift cards — a convenient solution for those who need to quickly top up their account balance without linking a bank card. Now you can purchase an Apple digital certificate through the apps of Russia’s largest banks that partner with A3: Alfa-Bank, PSB Bank, Rosselkhozbank, Uralsib, Bank Primorye, DOM.RF, VTB, and others.

What Is an Apple Gift Card?

An Apple gift card is a digital certificate with a fixed denomination that tops up the internal Apple ID Russia balance. The funds from the balance can be used to pay for:

  • apps and games in the App Store;
  • music and movies;
  • books;
  • Apple Music, Apple TV+, iCloud+ subscriptions;
  • other in-app services if payment is available through the App Store.

How to Activate an Apple Gift Card?

Activation takes just a few minutes:

  • Check your Apple ID region — it must match the region of the card.
  • Open the App Store.
  • Tap on the user avatar in the upper right corner.
  • Select “Redeem Gift Card or Code.”
  • Enter the 16-digit code manually or scan it with the camera.
  • Tap “Redeem.”

The balance is topped up immediately after successful activation, and the funds become available for purchasing Apple digital products and services.

Important: The Card Is Tied to the Apple ID Region

The gift card only works with the Apple ID of the region for which it was issued, in this case Russia. If the account is registered in another country, such as the US or Turkey, activating a Russian code will not be possible.

It is also important to consider:

  • Apple ID balance cannot be transferred between countries;
  • the code cannot be used for an account in a different region;
  • funds remain tied to the region for which the card was issued.

If your Apple ID is registered in a different region, you need to change the country in your account settings before purchasing the card. Changing the region may be unavailable if:

  • there are remaining funds on the balance, even 1 ruble — it must be fully spent before changing the region;
  • there are active subscriptions — they need to be canceled in advance or you must wait for them to expire;
  • the user is a member of an Apple Family Sharing group — you need to leave the group or disband it.

Before purchasing a card, it is recommended to check your account settings and make sure the region matches.

How to Check Your Balance After Topping Up?

  • On iPhone or iPad: App Store — user profile — the balance is displayed next to the name.
  • On a computer: account information section in iTunes or Apple Music.
