OnePlus continues to stick to its strategy: if it’s a budget smartphone, it must focus on battery life. The company has introduced the OnePlus Turbo 6X lineup, consisting of two models. Both bet on huge batteries and smooth displays at a price of around 20,000 rubles. Let’s break down what this new budget duo has to offer.

The new OnePlus phones with massive batteries have appeared online

How OnePlus Turbo 6X and Turbo 6X Pro Differ

The models are similar, but the older one is noticeably more interesting. OnePlus Turbo 6X features a MediaTek Dimensity 7360 Super processor, a 50 MP main camera paired with a 2 MP monochrome sensor, a 7000 mAh battery, and up to 12 GB of RAM. Its protection is basic — IP64, meaning splash and dust resistance.

The smartphones look different on the outside, but share a lot inside

OnePlus Turbo 6X Pro is the version for those willing to pay a little extra. It features a more powerful Dimensity 7400 Super processor, an 8 MP ultra-wide camera, a 50 MP main module with optical image stabilization, an 8000 mAh battery with 80W charging and bypass charging. Plus, it has maximum dust and water protection at IP69 — a rarity for this price segment.

Display and Design of the New OnePlus Models

Both smartphones feature smooth displays, which is the second strong point after the battery. The base version has a 6.72-inch display with 2400×1080 resolution and up to 1000 nits brightness. The Pro version has a larger and brighter screen — 6.78 inches, 2772×1272, and up to 1400 nits. Both models feature a 144 Hz refresh rate, so the interface and scrolling feel truly smooth.

The base Turbo 6X looks a lot like a Samsung Galaxy

In terms of dimensions, the devices are nearly twins: 208 grams and 213 grams respectively, with a thickness of about 8.5 mm — decent figures for smartphones with such batteries.

Battery and Charging of OnePlus Turbo 6X

The main trump card of both models is that they are smartphones with big batteries in the purest sense. The junior 6X carries a 7000 mAh battery with 45W charging, while the senior model has an 8000 mAh battery with 80W fast charging. For the budget segment, these are excellent numbers: with moderate use, both will easily last two days without a charger, and the 6X Pro with its capacity — even longer.

The senior version got a bigger battery and more powerful charging

An extra advantage of the senior model is bypass charging: the smartphone can draw power directly from the outlet, bypassing the battery during gaming, which reduces heat and preserves battery health.

OnePlus Turbo 6X and 6X Pro Price in Russia

For now, the phones are priced noticeably higher than they should be

At launch in China, the OnePlus Turbo 6X is priced at 1899 yuan (approximately 20,200 rubles) for the 8/128 GB version, while the Turbo 6X Pro is 1999 yuan (about 21,250 rubles). The prices are very attractive, but there’s a catch: the current prices available for Russia are clearly inflated. Either way, 26,000–28,000 rubles is clearly not what you’d expect, but they’re worth adding to your wishlist.

When the smartphones become properly available for sale, we’ll definitely update the information. But what’s the bottom line?

In short, the OnePlus Turbo 6X is the choice for those who need the cheapest possible smartphone with a big battery and smooth display. The Turbo 6X Pro costs just a bit more but offers noticeably more: IP69 protection, 80W charging, camera stabilization, and a bigger battery.
