Winfuture has published detailed specs, renders, and prices of the Xiaomi 17T and 17T Pro smartphones well ahead of the official announcement. The global market has already seen the Xiaomi 17 and Xiaomi 17 Ultra — the full-fledged flagships of the lineup. Now the manufacturer is preparing more affordable models with an emphasis on battery life. But the prices, judging by the leak, have risen so much that the familiar feeling of “a flagship for a reasonable price” may no longer apply. Here’s what we know.

When to Expect Xiaomi 17T and 17T Pro

Xiaomi typically releases its T-series in September, but in 2026 the company decided to shift the schedule. According to multiple sources, the launch of the Xiaomi 17T and 17T Pro could happen as early as May — four months ahead of the usual timeframe. Both devices have already been certified in several countries: Singapore (IMDA), India (BIS), and the USA (FCC), which usually signals an imminent sales launch.

The new T-series is arriving four months earlier than usual.

The Xiaomi 17T release date has not been officially confirmed. Everything known at this point is based on leaks and indirect evidence. Among all the expected Xiaomi new releases in 2026 (for example, rumors about the Xiaomi 17 Max with an 8000 mAh battery), the T-series stands apart: these are global models that arrive on the Russian market officially.

Xiaomi 17T Specifications

Xiaomi 17T will be a relatively compact smartphone. Image: winfuture

According to Winfuture, the base model will feature a 6.59-inch display with a resolution of 2756×1268 pixels and a 120 Hz refresh rate. This is noticeably more compact than its predecessor, the Xiaomi 15T, which had a 6.83-inch display. Among the best flagships of 2026, the Xiaomi 17T will be in the category of compact, affordable options with modern internals.

Under the hood, the MediaTek Dimensity 8500 Ultra processor is expected — a fresh chip built on a 4nm process with eight high-performance Cortex-A725 cores. It’s not a flagship processor, but in terms of capabilities, it approaches last year’s top-tier solutions. RAM is 12 GB, with 256 or 512 GB of internal storage. The body is plastic.

6500 mAh instead of 5500 mAh on the Xiaomi 15T — the main improvement of the base model.

The key improvement compared to the Xiaomi 15T: the battery has grown from 5500 to 6500 mAh. Charging is 67W, with no wireless charging. For the Xiaomi 17T phone, this means a confident day and a half of active use.

Xiaomi 17T Pro Specifications

The higher-end model looks more serious. The Xiaomi 17T Pro smartphone will feature a 6.83-inch display with a resolution of 2772×1280 pixels and a 144 Hz refresh rate. The processor is the Dimensity 9500, a full-fledged flagship chip from MediaTek.

Xiaomi 17T Pro specifications according to the leak:

  • 7000 mAh battery (up from 5500 mAh on the Xiaomi 15T Pro);
  • 100W wired charging, up to 50W wireless;
  • metal frame instead of plastic on the base model;
  • Android 16 with HyperOS 3 skin;
  • dimensions 162.2×77.5×8.25 mm, weight 219 grams.

Compared to the Xiaomi 15T Pro, the improvements are significant: the battery has grown by 1500 mAh, the processor has been upgraded from Dimensity 9400+ to the current Dimensity 9500, and charging has become more powerful: 100W instead of 90W.

Xiaomi 17T and 17T Pro Cameras

On paper, the Xiaomi 17T camera and Pro version look identical:

  • 50 MP: main camera;
  • 50 MP: telephoto lens with 5x optical zoom;
  • 12 MP: ultra-wide camera;
  • 32 MP: front camera.

But the differences in details are fundamental. The Xiaomi 17T Pro camera uses a more advanced Light Fusion 950 sensor in the main camera with an f/1.74 aperture, and the telephoto is a periscope type. The predecessor Xiaomi 15T Pro already had 5x optical zoom with Leica optics, and judging by the renders, the 17T Pro will continue this tradition.

Same camera setup, but Pro gets a periscope and a better sensor.

For the average user, this means: the 5x telephoto on both models will allow shooting distant objects without quality loss. But the Pro model will do it noticeably better thanks to a larger sensor and periscope design. This is a case where identical numbers in the specs hide a tangible difference in practice.

Expected Prices of Xiaomi 17T and 17T Pro

This is where the uncomfortable questions begin. According to the leak, the Xiaomi 17T price in the 12/256 GB configuration will be 749 euros (approximately 71,000 rubles in Russia). The Xiaomi 17T Pro price with 12/512 GB is 999 euros (approximately 89,000 rubles).

For comparison: the Xiaomi 15T Pro launched in Europe at 749 euros and was sold in Russia in the range of 55,000-70,000 rubles for the base version. This means the Pro model has gone up by 250 euros. At these prices, Xiaomi 15T vs Xiaomi 17T is already a comparison of devices from different price categories. It’s worth noting that earlier leaks mentioned different figures: starting from 649 and 799 euros. In Russia, the final price will depend on the supply channel. But even in an optimistic scenario, the pricing positioning of the series has shifted noticeably upward.

Is It Worth Waiting for the Xiaomi 17T and 17T Pro?

The main promise of the new series is battery life. Batteries of 6500 and 7000 mAh should provide a full two days of use with moderate usage — and that’s a serious argument for those who are tired of charging their phone every evening. But the pricing raises questions. Paying 999 euros to buy the Xiaomi 17T Pro means entering flagship territory — the Xiaomi 17 costs comparably and offers more top-tier internals. The familiar T-series formula of “almost a flagship, but cheaper” doesn’t work as well at these prices.

If the Xiaomi 15T Pro suits you, there may not be a compelling reason to upgrade to the 17T.
