Russian banks and Apple have long been playing cat and mouse: apps get removed from the App Store, only to return under new names. But a VTB app for iPhone is a rare thing — the last client, “Vsyo Prosto” (All Simple), was shut down back at the end of 2023, and since then the bank hasn’t had an iOS app, aside from Luna. Now, after nearly three years, VTB is back in the store, this time under the name Sirius. If you’ve been looking for a way to install VTB on your iPhone in 2026, here’s the simplest method right now, while the app hasn’t been removed yet.

VTB is back in the App Store for the first time in 3 years!
Sirius — the New VTB on iPhone
Since there are essentially no alternatives to the App Store on iPhone in our country, you’ll have to download the new VTB from there. The app is already in the store — go ahead and install it on your smartphone or tablet. And here’s the key point: it’s best to do this as soon as possible.
The thing is, VTB can’t get into the App Store under its real name — sanctions that VTB fell under back in early 2022 prevent that. So the app is disguised: not a word about the bank in the description, a neutral category, and a third-party developer on the listing. Apple’s moderators usually catch such apps within a day, sometimes within a couple of hours. So VTB in the App Store is a short-lived guest, and you shouldn’t delay downloading it.
What’s Inside the Sirius App from VTB
You won’t find any “third-party services” promised in the description, of course. After installing and logging in with your credentials, you’ll be greeted by the familiar VTB Online for iPhone — the same interface as in previous versions. The app is fully functional: accounts and cards are all there, transfers by phone number and by bank details, utility bill payments, transaction history with filters, and chat support. Essentially, it’s the full VTB for iOS, just under a different name, and the name doesn’t affect functionality at all.

The new app features the recently introduced design
However, there’s one feature the editorial team couldn’t find in this version, and that’s paying with iPhone. Paying via smartphone through Bluetooth, as the proprietary VTB Pay can do, apparently hasn’t been added to Sirius yet, although the Luna browser version does have this capability. If this is a key use case for you, there’s a separate guide on how to pay with iPhone via VTB Pay over Bluetooth in 2026.
Why You Should Download VTB on iPhone Right Now
The main reason to grab such apps immediately is that the window is open for a short time. This is the first working method in three years to install VTB on iPhone the old-fashioned way: just download it from the App Store and use it. Even if the app gets removed from the store, the already-installed client will continue to work on your device. Apple removes the listing from search results but doesn’t delete the app from your phone.

All settings are in place. But we couldn’t find how to enable paying with iPhone
So if you’ve been stuck using the web version or you don’t like Luna, now is the time to download it. Get it now while Sirius from VTB hasn’t been removed yet.
