While Samsung smartphones are getting more expensive worldwide, on AliExpress it’s quite the opposite. The fresh mid-ranger Galaxy A57 has dropped to 26 thousand rubles, despite launching at around fifty thousand. Today we’re stepping up a notch and looking at the senior A-series model, which at this price has suddenly become very interesting. Let me explain whether it’s worth buying.

Galaxy A57 got a massive price drop on AliExpress

Why the Galaxy A57 Dropped So Much on AliExpress

In reality, nothing supernatural happened. Galaxy A57 launched in spring 2026 at a price of around 50 thousand rubles, the first wave of buyers passed, the hype died down, and sellers started slashing prices for turnover. Add a strong ruble to the mix, and we get a Galaxy A57 price starting from 26 thousand for the version with 8 GB of RAM. That means a senior mid-ranger costs less than some budget phones in Russian retail.

A Samsung smartphone at this price is simply a gift

A 50% price drop in just a couple of months is a serious reason to take a closer look. Especially since we’re not talking about old stock or a last-year model, but a current-generation device that just recently hit the shelves.

What the Samsung Galaxy A57 Mid-Ranger Can Do

For its new price, the Samsung Galaxy A57’s internals are simply top-notch. Inside is the Exynos 1680 processor, a fresh 4-nanometer chip with an enhanced AI processing block, so Galaxy AI with signature features like circle-to-search and object erasing work right on the device. The screen is a separate joy: a Super AMOLED Plus 6.7-inch panel with 120 Hz refresh rate and up to 1900 nits brightness — readable in direct sunlight without any issues.

The smartphone shows excellent results in AnTuTu

Battery life is solid too: the 5000 mAh battery easily lasts a full day, and 45W fast charging brings the phone from zero to roughly 70 percent in half an hour. Rounding out the package are a triple 50 MP camera with night mode, IP68 protection, and Gorilla Glass Victus Plus. And all of this in a body just 6.9 mm thick — thinner than many flagships.

The main trump card for the long run is support. Samsung promises six years of major Android updates, so the device will live long and won’t become software-obsolete after a couple of updates.

Galaxy A56 or Galaxy A57 — Which One to Choose

But there’s a nuance. Last year’s Galaxy A56 on the same AliExpress goes for even less — starting from 22,200 rubles, which is roughly a four-thousand-ruble difference from the A57. The models are similar to the point of confusion: identical 6.7-inch screen, same 5000 mAh battery with 45W charging, identical camera setup, and the same proprietary software.

As an option, choose the A56 — it’s slightly cheaper and almost matches in specs

What you get for the A57 premium: a slightly newer Exynos 1680 processor instead of the 1580, IP68 protection versus IP67, Wi-Fi 6E support, and one extra year of updates going forward. The hardware difference is modest though — both chips are 4-nanometer and practically indistinguishable in daily use. Interestingly, the A56’s front camera is actually more powerful at 32 MP versus 12 MP on the newer model, so selfie enthusiasts have something to think about.

Is the Galaxy A57 Worth Buying for 26 Thousand

At this price, it’s one of the most sensible mid-rangers on the market, even accounting for customs duty (approximately 2,500 rubles). You get a flagship-feeling screen, long-term support, the signature One UI and Galaxy AI for budget phone money. For those who value Samsung quality and longevity but don’t want to overpay for the letter S in the name, this is a nearly ideal option. But keep in mind:

  • The Exynos 1680 chip is solid, but it’s not flagship hardware — it won’t be much help in heavy games on max settings.
  • There’s no wireless charging and no memory card slot, so choose your storage version with room to spare.
  • The camera here is good, but without the miracles of the senior Galaxy lineup.

If your heart desires a true flagship with maximum capabilities, that’s a different conversation and a different budget.

There’s also a whole array of new products ahead, and Samsung is preparing 8 interesting devices before the end of the year, so waiting a couple of months is also an option. But if you need a balanced smartphone right now, the Galaxy A57 for 26 thousand is an honest deal, and I’d grab it without hesitation.
