A new app for determining steak doneness has appeared in the App Store. What does Rosselkhozbank have to do with it, you might ask? Well, here’s the thing: hidden inside “PRO Zharka” is a full-fledged RSKB personal banking account. Let’s figure out how it works and whether it’s worth downloading.

Rosselkhozbank is back in the App Store, but under a very unexpected name
PRO Zharka App on iPhone: What It Is and Why You Need It
An app called “PRO Zharka” has appeared in the App Store. Based on its description and screenshots, the app looks like a service for steak lovers. You take a photo of the meat, and a built-in AI camera supposedly determines the level of doneness. You can keep a journal of your best steaks, save the places where you ate them, and get cooking tips. It sounds like a niche culinary tool. But in reality, it’s much more interesting than that.

It launches as a steak app, but opens RSKB
As it turned out, behind the “steak” shell lies a full-fledged Rosselkhozbank personal account. After authorization, the user lands in the familiar RSKB mobile banking interface — with accounts, transfers, and all other features.
The scheme is not new. Rosselkhozbank was sanctioned back in 2022, and Apple removed its official app from the App Store at that time. Since then, the bank has returned to the store several times in disguise. First it was “Milk Yield Tracker” — an app for farmers that appeared in January 2025 and lasted until March. Then came “Berry Fest,” which was released in December 2025. Now it’s steaks.
How PRO Zharka Differs from Other Rosselkhozbank Apps
The main difference is a more sophisticated disguise. “Milk Yield Tracker” looked like a program for farmers and evoked associations with agriculture — making the logical connection to RSKB easy to spot. “Berry Fest” was disguised as an event planner. But “PRO Zharka” is a completely different story: full screenshots with an interface for determining steak doneness, tips, a journal, and a map.
Otherwise, it’s still the same app with the same set of banking features: access to accounts, transfers, deposits, loans, payments, and much more. How long the app will survive in the App Store remains an open question. Previous versions were removed fairly quickly. So if you’re an RSKB client and use an iPhone, you should download it right now.
Is It Safe to Install the PRO Zharka App
You need to be careful here. In March 2026, Rosselkhozbank itself warned about a fraudulent app called “Rosselkhoz:Bank Online” that appeared in the App Store and had no connection to the bank. In other words, not every app with a banking interface inside is genuine.

The bank’s website confirms the app’s authenticity
The advice is simple: verify the information on the official RSKB website. If the app is mentioned there — you can download it. If not — it’s better not to risk it and contact the hotline instead. For those who have already downloaded the app, the bank traditionally recommends disabling offloading in iPhone settings and not deleting previously installed RSKB apps.
Which Other Banks Disguise Their Apps in the App Store
Rosselkhozbank is far from the only bank hiding behind a false identity. Alfa-Bank has used apps called “Delim Vmeste” (Splitting Together) and “FinMentor” at various times. BBR Bank disguised itself as “BOBR PRO.” Novikom released “PDF Master.” VTB Investments launched as “Mercuriy.”
Each bank has its own approach. Some publish disguised apps in the App Store, some have bank employees install them directly on the client’s iPhone. And others, like VTB, simply suggest using the web version.
If you haven’t updated your banking app on iPhone in a while — it’s time to check whether it still works and find a current replacement if needed. The list of disguised apps is constantly changing.
