OPPO has unveiled ColorOS 17, the new software skin for its smartphones that OnePlus and realme devices are also adopting this year. Alongside the announcement, the company published a rollout roadmap. The short version: the stable release begins on 8 October with the newest flagships (OPPO Find X9 series and Find N6, OnePlus 15 and 15T, realme GT8 Pro), reaches last year’s flagships on 16 October, and then moves through OnePlus Ace, OPPO Reno and a long list of 2023–2025 devices in November and December, with the 2022 Find N2 foldables closing the list in early 2027. One crucial caveat: this schedule applies to the Chinese market; timings for global firmware have not been published.

22 October — OPPO’s mid-range Reno line

Early 2027 — the oldest devices on the list
The oldest smartphones in the published roadmap are OPPO’s two foldables from 2022:
- OPPO Find N2
- OPPO Find N2 Flip
This is a telling detail: OPPO has chosen not to abandon the Find N2 and N2 Flip even though they are almost four years old. Four years of software support for a foldable is a positive sign.
Important caveat: this is the schedule for China
Before setting a reminder for 8 October, note that the published roadmap applies to the Chinese market. According to the source, international firmware releases usually lag behind the Chinese ones — sometimes by several weeks, sometimes by a month to six weeks.
What this means in practice:
- If you have a Chinese version of one of these phones, the dates above are your reference.
- If you have a global version, expect the update later; OPPO has not yet published specific dates for the global market.
- The situation is the same for realme and OnePlus — Chinese dates come ahead of international ones.
The simplest way to track the update on your own device is the System Update section in Settings, where the update appears automatically once it reaches your firmware version.
