Almost immediately after the release of the new operating system, it became known which smartphones will get Android 17, and we’ve already covered the situation with leading brands. The stable version of the new OS for Pixel is expected as early as June 2026. But Vivo and iQOO Android 17 owners will have to wait longer. Vivo launched the Android 17 beta program in early April and is preparing a stable release with its proprietary OriginOS 7 skin. Below is the full list of devices guaranteed to receive the update, along with estimated timelines.

Which Vivo Smartphones Will Get Android 17

The list is compiled based on the update policy for each specific device. Vivo has not yet officially confirmed the list of models for Android 17, but based on the announced support timelines, the devices listed below are guaranteed to receive the update.

Vivo X Series — the flagship lineup that traditionally gets updated first:

  • Vivo X300, X300 Pro, X300 Ultra, X300 FE
  • Vivo X200, X200 Pro, X200 FE, X200T
  • Vivo X100, X100 Pro

Vivo V Series — mid-range segment with good cameras:

  • Vivo V70, V70 FE, V70 Elite
  • Vivo V60, V60e, V60 Lite, V60 Lite 4G
  • Vivo V50, V50e, V50 Lite, V50 Lite 4G
  • Vivo V40, V40 Pro

Vivo T Series — affordable models focused on performance:

  • Vivo T5 Pro, T5x
  • Vivo T4, T4 Lite, T4 Pro, T4 Ultra, T4x, T4R

If you previously looked into which Vivo smartphones would get Android 16, you’ll notice that the list has significantly expanded thanks to new 2025–2026 models.

iQOO Smartphones With Android 17 Support

iQOO also has a wide support list

The iQOO sub-brand, focused on performance and gaming, will also receive the update. The list includes flagships, mid-range models, and the Neo lineup.

iQOO Flagship Series:

  • iQOO 15, iQOO 15 Ultra, iQOO 15R
  • iQOO 13
  • iQOO 12, iQOO 12 Pro

iQOO Z Series:

  • iQOO Z11, Z11x
  • iQOO Z10, Z10 Lite, Z10x, Z10R

iQOO Neo Series:

  • iQOO Neo 10, Neo 10R
  • iQOO Neo 9 Pro

For Russian users, this is particularly relevant: iQOO entered the Russian market in late 2024 and over the past year has become a notable player in the mid-range and flagship segments. Models like the iQOO Z10 and iQOO 13 sold well through major marketplaces with warranty.

Which Vivo Smartphones Will Not Get Android 17

The budget Y-series is absent from the list not because there won’t be an update. The issue is different: Vivo hasn’t announced an update policy for most Y-series models, including recent ones. Without this data, it’s impossible to guarantee that a specific device will get Android 17.

The situation with budget smartphones isn’t so clear-cut

Nevertheless, many recent Y-series models will most likely still get updated. If your smartphone isn’t on the list, don’t rush to get upset — it’s worth waiting for the official announcement from Vivo. The company usually publishes the final list after the stable version of Android is released.

When Will Android 17 Be Released for Vivo and iQOO

Google plans to release the stable version of Android 17 in June 2026 — Pixel smartphones will be the first to receive the update. However, for third-party manufacturers, including Vivo, things are more complicated: the company needs to adapt its proprietary OriginOS 7 skin to the new Android version.

Based on past releases, a realistic timeline for the start of the update rollout for Vivo and iQOO is approximately September 2026. Flagship X-series models will receive the update first, while mid-range V and T series will follow later. Budget devices, if they do get updated, may have to wait until early 2027. Currently, Android 17 beta testing has already been launched on the Vivo X300 Pro and iQOO 15 — these are the two devices on which Vivo is testing OriginOS 7 before the wide release.

Should You Wait for the Android 17 Update

If your Vivo or iQOO is on the list above, the update to Android 17 with OriginOS 7 is just a matter of time. No special actions are required from you: when the update is ready, it will arrive automatically through the system update mechanism. If your device isn’t on the list and it was released more than two years ago, the chances of getting updated are slim. In that case, it’s worth looking at newer models that are guaranteed to receive Android 17 and even Android 20.

The main thing to remember: this list is based on the update policy, not on official confirmation from Vivo. The company will publish the final list closer to the start of the update rollout. Until then, treat it as a reliable but unofficial guide.
