A couple of days ago we wrote about the REDMI K90 Max announcement — a gaming smartphone from Xiaomi with a fan and an 8550 mAh battery. But that device is aimed at the top price segment. Meanwhile, another Chinese company flanked from a different direction and introduced the Infinix GT 50 Pro — a gaming device with a vapor cooling chamber, shoulder triggers, and the same processor found in the POCO X7 Pro that everyone knows and loves. Only Infinix pairs this chip with a whole arsenal of gaming features that POCO lacks.

Infinix GT 50 Pro Specifications
Let’s start with the hardware. Without gaming add-ons, just numbers and dry specs that allow the Infinix GT 50 Pro to immediately make a bold statement.

Infinix GT 50 Pro display: 6.78 inches, AMOLED, 1.5K resolution, 144 Hz. Peak brightness of 4500 nits, PWM at 2304 Hz, 10-bit color support. Gorilla Glass 7i protects the front glass, which is a rarity for a smartphone in this price range.
In terms of base specs, the Infinix GT 50 Pro is comparable to the POCO X7 Pro.
Infinix GT 50 Pro processor: MediaTek Dimensity 8400 Ultimate, 4 nm. With it, the Infinix GT 50 Pro scores about 1,660,000 points in AnTuTu — the same as the POCO X7 Pro on the same chip.

Infinix GT 50 Pro battery is rated at 6500 mAh and supports 45 W charging. The battery lasts two days with moderate use. The charging speed isn’t record-breaking, but with this capacity it’s not critical. The Infinix GT 50 Pro camera features a 50 MP main module with OIS, an 8 MP ultrawide, and a 13 MP front camera. Video up to 4K@60fps. For a gaming smartphone — a nice bonus, though clearly not the device’s main trump card.
How the Infinix GT 50 Pro Is Better Than the POCO X7 Pro
Infinix GT 50 Pro vs POCO X7 Pro — this is a comparison of two smartphones with the same chip but fundamentally different approaches. The POCO X7 Pro is a good universal smartphone with the Dimensity 8400-Ultra. Infinix took the same chip and built a full-fledged gaming platform around it.
The main difference is the cooling system. The GT 50 Pro features a liquid HydroFlow vapor chamber with an area of 6437 mm² — the largest in Infinix’s history. It covers 100% of the chip’s heat zones. The POCO X7 Pro also has a vapor chamber, but it’s noticeably smaller in area. In practice, this means the GT 50 Pro maintains peak performance longer during extended gaming sessions without thermal throttling. The second trump card is the GT Trigger shoulder triggers. These are physical buttons with dual pressure, built into the body:
- 10 pressure levels with 20 ms response accuracy;
- rated for 3 million presses without losing sensitivity;
- up to 8 mapping points for different gaming actions;
- work as a camera zoom slider — convenient for photos and video.
The POCO X7 Pro has no physical triggers at all. Only touch-based shoulder buttons in games via the screen. The difference is immediately noticeable if you play shooters or racing games.
A 6437 mm² vapor chamber, physical triggers, and a magnetic cooler — that's what sets the GT 50 Pro apart from a regular smartphone with the Dimensity 8400.
The third feature is the GT MagCharge Cooler 2.0 accessory. This is a magnetic cooler that attaches to the back panel and adds several capabilities at once: 15 W wireless charging, active cooling through a 12 W Peltier element, and a unique wireless bypass function where power is delivered directly to the chip, bypassing the battery. This reduces battery heating during long sessions and extends its lifespan.

Additionally, the back panel of the GT 50 Pro features an LED Mech Light Waves strip with reactive lighting that responds to in-game events. It sounds like marketing, but visually it looks interesting.
Release Date and Price of the Infinix GT 50 Pro
The Infinix GT 50 Pro release date is April 24, 2026, and the smartphone has already been officially unveiled globally. The official launch price has not yet been announced, but according to leaks and regional aggregators, it will be approximately around 35,000 rubles at current exchange rates.
The Infinix GT 50 Pro will officially come to Russia. But the sales start date remains a mystery, although we already roughly know the price. For comparison: the POCO X7 Pro in Russia currently costs from 25,000 to 32,000 rubles depending on the configuration and store. The Infinix GT 50 Pro price in Russia including delivery will be roughly in the same range or slightly higher.

Now we just have to wait for the new smartphone to appear in Russia. Image: Infinix
The Infinix GT 50 Pro price looks fair for the set of specifications. Especially considering that physical triggers and a vapor chamber of this size are not found anywhere else in this price segment.
Is the Infinix GT 50 Pro Worth Buying?
A gaming Android smartphone with physical triggers, a 6437 mm² vapor chamber, and a 6500 mAh battery at a price comparable to the POCO X7 Pro — on paper, it sounds convincing. And as an affordable gaming smartphone, the GT 50 Pro convincingly beats POCO in gaming capabilities.
The Infinix GT 50 Pro beats the POCO X7 Pro in gaming features but falls behind the POCO X8 Pro in processor freshness.
But there’s a nuance worth considering. While the Infinix GT 50 Pro is launching with the Dimensity 8400 Ultimate, the POCO X8 Pro is already available with a next-generation processor (Dimensity 8500-Ultra). This is a newer chip with improved capabilities.
