Smartwatches have been rotating on my wrist regularly over the past couple of years. Before this, I wore the CMF Watch 3 Pro, and alongside it I tested the Apple Watch — and every time after going back from Apple to Android watches, it was a bit painful: the interface would lag, or the battery would die by evening. So when the OnePlus Watch 4 arrived in Russia, I wasn’t expecting miracles. Just another Wear OS watch, fine, let’s see. But in the end, I was surprised: for 17,599 rubles, you get a gadget that in terms of feel and features rivals the Apple Watch Ultra.

Let’s take a look at how the new OnePlus watch turned out

OnePlus Watch 4: Specs and Price in Russia

Nothing special comes in the box. Quite modest

I’ll start right away with the OnePlus Watch 4 specs so you can see what we’re dealing with. Everything is in order here: the company, despite rumors of shutting down, packed in some incredible hardware that even more well-known models can only dream of.

Display1.5″ LTPO AMOLED, 466×466, sapphire glass
ProcessorQualcomm Snapdragon W5 Gen 1 + co-processor
Battery632 mAh, up to 5 days of battery life
ProtectionIP68 + IP69 + 5ATM + MIL-STD 810H
OSWear OS 6.0
Case43 mm, titanium
Colorsblack, green
Pricefrom 17,599 rubles

The price was the first thing that caught my attention. As a reminder, the Apple Watch SE costs about the same, while the OnePlus Watch 4 has sapphire glass, a titanium case, dual-chip architecture, and a more powerful battery. This is no longer a “cheap alternative” — it’s a standalone product. Another thing: when purchasing before April 24, you get OnePlus Nord Buds 3R earbuds included, which was the deciding argument for me. An extra pair of earbuds never hurts!

OnePlus Watch 4 for Sports and Workouts

Now, be prepared — I’m going to be a little biased here, because these watches are fantastic for sports. I run regularly, and previously I used either the CMF Watch 3 Pro or the Apple Watch. Each had its own quirks: the CMF took forever to lock onto GPS and sometimes tracked “in the wrong direction,” while the Apple Watch battery drained noticeably faster during runs than I would have liked. With the OnePlus Watch 4, I forgot for the first time that I even needed to adjust anything.

In terms of workouts, the watch is flawless

Dual-frequency GPS locks onto satellites in just a few seconds, even between buildings. The route is recorded precisely, without the “crooked” shortcuts through lawns that plagued previous watches. Now there are no issues, and you don’t need a phone for accurate distance measurements.

Plus, it has ECG, VO2 Max measurement, sleep tracking, stress levels, and a pulse oximeter. Competitors are trying, of course: Samsung, for example, has always impressed me with their body composition analysis via BIA sensor — that’s a genuinely useful feature. But in terms of the overall combination of sports features, the OnePlus Watch 4 is subjectively more convenient: lots of truly practical functions.

OnePlus Watch 4 Case and Operating System

The case deserves its own chapter. The sapphire glass and titanium frame in the Evergreen Titanium version look like you paid at least fifty thousand for the watch. The combination of IP68, IP69, 5ATM, and MIL-STD 810H protection is also impressive: the watch can easily survive a shower, hot pressurized water, and impacts. Compared to the modest case of my CMF Watch 3 Pro, in terms of tactile feel — it’s simply a different level.

The watch has a very pleasant case. A bit weighty, but always pleasantly cool to the touch

Wear OS 6 is the second great part. It’s a full-fledged OS with access to Google Play, not a stripped-down firmware like you often find on Chinese watches. You can install Telegram, Spotify, Yandex Maps, running navigation — everything works. And the dual-chip architecture provides up to 5 days of battery life in normal mode and up to 16 days in power-saving mode. Apple Watch can only dream of that.

OnePlus Watch 4 Drawbacks and iOS Support

Now for the downsides, and I’ll try to be honest: the OnePlus Watch 4 has almost none. The only truly serious “but” is the lack of iOS support. The watch only works with Android smartphones, and if you’re planning to switch to an iPhone in the near future, you’ll have to part ways with this watch. There are no workarounds.

For those who live in the Android ecosystem, this isn’t a problem. The watch pairs especially well with the OnePlus 15: same brand, proper synchronization, unified design language. And on small details: in green, the watch looks genuinely premium, but if you’re a conservative — black only.

Who Is the OnePlus Watch 4 For?

It’s a shame they don’t work with iPhone

The OnePlus Watch 4 is, in my subjective opinion, the best Wear OS smartwatch of 2026 in its price range. It’s right for you if you: actively exercise and need accurate GPS and long battery life; want top-tier specs without overpaying for a brand name; already use an Android smartphone and plan to stick with it.

If you’re planning to switch to iPhone — get an Apple Watch and don’t torture yourself.
