We all know how major companies dream of building a large residential base on the Moon, but that’s still a long way off. Nevertheless, there are already projects that can recreate the sensations of visiting the Moon right here on Earth. The largest spherical object in the world promises to become the planet Earth’s main tourist attraction. This is an ambitious proposal from Moon World Resorts, which plans to create a unique entertainment and tourism center with the straightforward name “Moon,” promising visitors a realistic experience of being on the lunar surface. And you don’t even need to fly anywhere for it. All that’s left is to wait six years, which seems like quite a short period of time.
The Largest Sphere
The project is still at the conceptual planning stage, but the stated dimensions are impressive: the sphere’s diameter will be a staggering 271 meters, and its height will reach 312 meters. For comparison, the famous “Sphere” structure in Las Vegas has a diameter of only about 157 meters and a height of 112 meters. Thus, the new project promises to significantly surpass existing counterparts and become the largest man-made sphere on the planet.
The main highlight of the complex will be the creation of an artificial lunar surface, allowing people to feel like astronauts. According to the concept, guests will be able to undergo a simulated experience of walking on Earth’s satellite. Although the exact mechanism for achieving this effect is not yet known, the technology is expected to recreate the unique sensations associated with being on the Moon.
In addition, the space around the central structure will be surrounded by twenty towers forming a panoramic walkway equipped with solar panels. The complex will also be complemented by sixteen small spherical buildings and park areas.
What the Moon Complex Will Include
In addition to the main attraction, the grounds will include a comfortable hotel with four thousand rooms, a conference center, restaurants, shops, and a wellness center. A transit hub, parking facilities, a helipad, and premium residential complexes are also planned.

Despite the scale of the project, the exact location of the complex is still unknown. The company is considering various placement options, including Saudi Arabia, Australia, Brazil, China, Egypt, India, Poland, Spain, Thailand, the USA, and the United Arab Emirates. The final decision is planned to be made later.
Thus, the construction of a giant complex with the ability to virtually find yourself on the Moon is a promising future project capable of attracting the attention of a wide audience and making a revolutionary breakthrough in the entertainment and tourism industry.
However, despite the optimism of the developers, designers, and other organizers, the actual launch will have to wait about six more years. Construction completion is scheduled for 2032. So stock up on patience and keep an eye on how things develop. But even now, this project looks very exciting.
All that’s left is to wait for it not to fall through and hope that the construction timeline doesn’t drag on. Although, given the complexity of the complex, that’s entirely possible. After all, the world’s longest building has already been scaled down many times over, even though construction had only just begun.
