OnePlus Nord is a series that has long ceased to be just a “budget lineup.” The OnePlus Nord 6 smartphone, unveiled on April 7, 2026, immediately raises uncomfortable questions for devices twice its price with its very first specs. Why pay more when for a relatively small amount you get a powerful processor, a great display, and a massive battery? This is what they were asking 50-70 thousand rubles for just a couple of years ago. That’s why this newcomer immediately lands on the list of best OnePlus smartphones of 2026, offering even a little more than other models from the brand.

The display deserves a separate mention. It features a Sunburst AMOLED panel with a 165 Hz refresh rate and 1800 nits brightness, and OnePlus claims this is the first display with such parameters in its segment. Plus Aqua Touch 2.0: you can operate the phone with wet hands. A small thing, but a nice one.
OnePlus Nord 6 AnTuTu and Performance
The OnePlus Nord 6 scores around 2,500,000 points in AnTuTu. This result is comparable to last-generation flagships and noticeably higher than most competitors in the mid-range segment. For perspective: the previous OnePlus Nord 5 scored around 1,800,000 points. That’s more than a 30% increase.

The Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 isn’t the top-tier Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 found in the flagship OnePlus 15, but it’s not a compromise chip either. Paired with OnePlus cooling, it maintains a stable 165 frames in PUBG for an hour without throttling. By mid-range standards, this is a serious achievement. LPDDR5X memory and UFS 4.1 storage deliver up to 100% faster read and write speeds compared to UFS 3.1. In everyday use, this is noticeable: apps open instantly, and the camera doesn’t lag when recording 4K.
A separate story is the proprietary Wi-Fi Range Rocket chip. OnePlus claims up to 44.6% faster Wi-Fi speeds through walls and 1.6 times lower ping in games compared to competitors. It sounds like marketing, but compared to the popular POCO X8 Pro, the difference when gaming through a wall from the router is noticeable.
OnePlus Nord 6 Battery
7500 mAh on a next-generation silicon-carbon base — this is the largest battery in its segment at the time of release. OnePlus promises 2.5 days of use with mixed usage. Specific lab numbers:
- YouTube: 22.9 hours;
- Google Maps navigation: 14.2 hours;
- PUBG: 9.4 hours;
- 4K/60 fps recording: 5.3 hours.
80W charging — 5 minutes is enough for 2.5 hours of YouTube. Reverse charging at 6.5W lets you recharge earbuds from the smartphone. There’s bypass charging, meaning you can plug it in and game without stressing the battery. OnePlus claims that after 5 years of use, the battery will retain more than 80% of its capacity. The compact flagship OnePlus 15T offers a similar approach to battery life: it has 7500 mAh at 7.8 mm thickness, but its price is twice as high.
OnePlus Nord 6 Camera
The main module is a 50 MP Sony LYTIA with dual-axis optical stabilization and built-in 2x zoom. It shoots 4K at 60 frames per second. HDR and color correction algorithms are flagship-grade, carried over from the OnePlus 15. The 32 MP front camera with a multi-focus sensor can simultaneously keep both the face and background in focus (useful for group selfies). It shoots 4K.

The 8 MP ultra-wide with a 112° field of view covers basic scenarios, although there’s no telephoto at all. This is one of the few compromises of the model. AI tools are standard for 2026: object erasing, blink correction, glare removal, detail enhancement when cropping. It works with a single tap. Google Gemini is integrated via the Plus Key button.
OnePlus Nord 6 vs Nord 5: What Changed
The gap between generations turned out to be significant. Here’s how the comparison looks in numbers:
| Specifications | OnePlus Nord 6 | OnePlus Nord 5 |
|---|---|---|
| Processor | Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 | Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 |
| AnTuTu | ~ 2,503,854 | ~ 1,849,271 |
| Display | 6.78″, AMOLED, 165 Hz, 1800 nits | 6.83″, AMOLED, 120 Hz, 1100 nits |
| Battery | 7500 mAh, SiCarbon | 6800 mAh |
| Charging | 80W | 67W |
| Main Camera | 50 MP Sony LYTIA, dual-axis OIS | 50 MP, single-axis OIS |
| Protection | IP66/68/69/69K | IP65 |
| Storage | UFS 4.1 | UFS 3.1 |
| Software Support | 4 Android updates, 6 years of patches | 3 Android updates, 4 years of patches |
The processor jumped a generation. This isn’t just a benchmark improvement but a difference in real-world scenarios: stable 165 fps in games versus 90-120 fps on the predecessor, noticeably faster photo and video processing. The display got 165 Hz instead of 120 Hz and 1800 nits brightness instead of 1100 (the difference is obvious outdoors on a sunny day). The battery grew by 700 mAh, but the key isn’t the capacity — it’s the technology: the next-generation silicon-carbon base provides higher energy density at the same weight. Protection went from IP65 to IP69K — this is no longer just “splash resistance” but full waterproofing with the ability to withstand high-pressure hot water jets.
