On March 24, OnePlus decided to expand its 15-series flagship lineup by releasing a compact model. The manufacturer had previously announced the OnePlus 15 and OnePlus 15R, and has now introduced the OnePlus 15T smartphone. This is one of the most anticipated models, as it comes in a small form factor while featuring top-tier specs that rival the top flagship. And it’s safe to say that we’re looking at the best compact smartphone of 2025.

OnePlus 15T Specifications
Visually, the OnePlus 15T phone is almost indistinguishable from last year’s OnePlus 13T. The newcomer has a similar camera module design, and the overall design language remains unchanged. However, inside there are a huge number of changes.
The smartphone kept its dual camera without an ultrawide lens, but instead of a lackluster telephoto it received an improved periscope with 3.5x optical zoom, the battery grew by a whopping 1240 mAh and gained wireless charging support. And that’s not even mentioning the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, the most powerful chip available in 2026.

But the OnePlus 15T smartphone turned out to be impressive not only compared to the manufacturer’s other devices, but also among all currently existing compact models.
Why OnePlus 15T Is the Best Compact Smartphone
There really is no cooler compact today
Many people consider the vivo X300 the best compact of 2026. But it still lacks a truly powerful chip, as it runs on a MediaTek processor rather than Snapdragon. Plus, it has a battery of only 6040 mAh. So the vivo X300 is the best camera phone, but not the best smartphone as a whole.
Alongside the OnePlus 15T, the Xiaomi 17 also runs on the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor. But it falls short of the best compact title due to lacking a proper telephoto lens, which the newcomer has. As for the Galaxy S26, we won’t even mention it with its Exynos processor and a frankly embarrassing 4300 mAh battery.
How Much Does the OnePlus 15T Cost

The determining factor is the OnePlus 15T price. Due to rising component costs driven by the development of artificial intelligence, the price of the new smartphone has also increased compared to the OnePlus 13T. Depending on the storage configuration, the new device is priced at:
- 12/256 GB — 4,299 yuan (~$590);
- 12/512 GB — 4,899 yuan (~$670);
- 16/256 GB — 4,599 yuan (~$630);
- 16/512 GB — 5,199 yuan (~$715);
- 16/1024 GB — 5,699 yuan (~$785).
The OnePlus 15T turned out to be even more expensive than the OnePlus 15. But first, it’s a compact smartphone. And second, despite its modest dimensions, the newcomer got a larger battery, which is very valuable.
Will the OnePlus 15T Launch Globally
At the time of publication, the OnePlus 15T has launched in China. Unfortunately, the brand’s local divisions have not yet announced their plans regarding bringing the newcomer to other markets. However, according to preliminary data, a global version of the OnePlus 15T is expected in the future.
And even if it doesn’t officially arrive, in the coming weeks we should see the OnePlus 15T available through various marketplaces, similar to its predecessor the OnePlus 13T, which appeared a year earlier.
