Why Avito Is Not on iPhone
It all started in May 2025, when Avito was removed from the App Store — suddenly and without explanation. The company itself wrote that it was negotiating with Apple and trying to figure out the reasons. Experts linked the incident to sanctions: in 2023, the U.S. Treasury Department imposed restrictions on the service’s co-owner Ivan Tavrin, and in 2025, half of Avito was transferred to a structure of Rosselkhozbank — also under sanctions.

How Avito Returned to the App Store
Russian companies have learned to bypass App Store restrictions through subsidiary structures in third countries — Kazakhstan, Armenia, UAE. The app is formally published under the name of a new company not linked to sanctions lists. The new Avito app operates under exactly this scheme.
In the App Store, it’s called “Auction Au.ru” — a classifieds board that is visually and functionally identical to Avito. The developer is LLC “Auction 24au.ru”. Just this week, a major update to version 217.0 was released with an expanded database of listings across the entire country. The app is free and works with iOS 15.2 and newer.

- Or open the App Store and search for the app manually using the query “Au.ru listings” or “Auction Au.ru”.
