On March 30, a major vivo presentation took place in China, during which the vivo X300 Ultra was unveiled — a smartphone with the best camera in 2026. It was the star of the show, but the manufacturer had another model up its sleeve that day. Alongside the Ultra version, the vivo X300s smartphone was released. This is an improved version of the compact flagship X300, differing from it in size and several other aspects.

vivo X300s Specifications
In terms of specs, the vivo X300s is a baseline flagship. Technically, it falls short of both the vivo X300 Pro and vivo X300 Ultra, and the new smartphone most closely resembles the compact X300.

That said, compactness is not its strong suit. The device measures 162×75.5×8 mm and weighs 217 grams. The Pro version and the Ultra model have roughly the same dimensions but weigh 10-20 grams more.
Differences Between vivo X300s and vivo X300
If the vivo X300 is a compact smartphone, then the vivo X300s is its larger version. The main difference lies in the size. The first smartphone has a 6.31-inch display, while the second has a 6.78-inch display. At the same time, the technical differences between the vivo X300 and vivo X300s slightly favor the newcomer:
- The vivo X300s display has an increased refresh rate of up to 144 Hz;
- Battery capacity has been increased from 6040 mAh to 7100 mAh;
- The new model features symmetrical stereo speakers, so the sound should be better.
However, the vivo X300s camera is completely identical to the vivo X300’s camera setup: the same sensors and image processing algorithms powered by the Dimensity 9500 processor with a dedicated vivo V3+ chip. The new model shoots in the same way and doesn’t reach the level of the Pro version.
How Much Does the vivo X300s Cost

At the time of publication, the vivo X300s price is known in China, where the new smartphone costs the following depending on memory configuration:
- 12/256 GB — 4,999 yuan (~$690);
- 12/512 GB — 5,499 yuan (~$760);
- 16/512 GB — 5,999 yuan (~$830);
- 16/1024 GB — 6,999 yuan (~$965);
- 16/1024 GB with camera kit — 7,999 yuan (~$1,100).
Looking at Chinese prices, it becomes clear: the vivo X300s is more expensive than the vivo X300 (starting at 4,399 yuan), but cheaper than the vivo X300 Pro (starting at 5,299 yuan) and especially the vivo X300 Ultra (starting at 6,999 yuan).
Will the vivo X300s Launch in Russia
The vivo X300s release date is April 3, 2026. That’s when the smartphone will be available in Chinese stores. However, the fate of the vivo X300s in Russia remains uncertain.
The local office has not yet confirmed the vivo X300s launch in Russia, but given the presence of other models from the lineup on the Russian market, as well as their relative success, the new model’s arrival can be expected. The key question is the price, which would allow the smartphone to fill the niche between the vivo X300 and X300 Pro.
