March 8th is not just a date on the calendar — it’s a true celebration of women’s strength, wisdom, and indomitable spirit. In everyday life, we meet amazing women — they inspire, support, reach incredible heights, and change the world around them. And cinema is a wonderful way to confirm this once again. On the big screen, heroines sometimes go through real trials without forgetting to crack excellent jokes, which delights audiences. So we decided what our weekly movie selection would be dedicated to. This time there won’t be any zombie movies — exclusively films about women: so different, yet so beloved!

Our fresh movie selection is dedicated to International Women’s Day!
Kill Bill — A Film About a Female Assassin
Through the film “Kill Bill,” Quentin Tarantino created an iconic portrait of a woman who will stop at nothing for vengeance. The main character, known as The Bride (Uma Thurman), after betrayal and an attempted murder, sets out on a path of revenge. She is pursued by an elite group of assassins called the “Deadly Viper Assassination Squad,” while she herself has mastered the “Five Point Palm Exploding Heart Technique.”

Words are unnecessary, as we’re looking at a cinema classic. The film captivates with its fights — from samurai duels to hand-to-hand combat, vivid imagery (the iconic yellow kimono), nonlinear storyline, and references to Asian cinema. In honor of March 8th, just a reminder that it’s better not to pick a fight with women!
New in Town — A Comedy with Renée Zellweger
Lucy Hill is an ambitious businesswoman from sunny Miami who gets sent to “save” a struggling factory in snowy Minnesota. Her task is to optimize costs and downsize the staff. At first, she’s cold and tough, communicating with subordinates through corporate templates and not understanding local customs. This light evening comedy may be called “New in Town,” but it will definitely melt even the toughest hearts.

Like the heroine herself: warm people — especially the friendly driver Blanche — change her views on life and work. The heroine learns to appreciate simple joys: hot chocolate, family dinners, sincere support. The comedy shows how even the toughest career woman can blossom, even when surrounded by cold American small-town life. All you need is the right people around you!
The Spy Who Dumped Me — An Action Comedy About Women
The light and funny action film “The Spy Who Dumped Me” tells you about how an ordinary girl Audrey unexpectedly finds herself at the center of spy showdowns. After her boyfriend Drew mysteriously disappears, she has to team up with his ex-girlfriend and save the world from an international conspiracy.

The heroines find themselves in absurd and dangerous situations: fleeing from killers in Venice, hacking secret servers, learning to shoot and disguise themselves. The film is full of drive, humor, and unexpected plot twists. It also proves that ordinary girls can be cooler than professional agents. For March 8th — a reminder: don’t underestimate your significant others, because they can handle any problem. If they want to, of course.
Ballerina — A New Action Film with Ana de Armas
“Ballerina” with Ana de Armas as Eve Macarro is the story of a contract killer from the “Ruska Roma” syndicate. As a child, Eve experienced tragedy: her father was killed, and she was taken under the wing of criminal mentors who taught her to combine the grace of ballet with combat mastery. Yes, the beginning is heavy, but just wait for what happens next!

Now she’s hunting those responsible for her parent’s death. In her search for the guilty, the heroine embarks on a dangerous journey across Europe — and encounters not only dangerous enemies but also John Wick himself. The film impresses with spectacular action scenes featuring the stunning Ana de Armas and stylish visuals. For March 8th — a vivid example of how any woman can be both elegant and invincible!
Morning Glory — A Film About a Morning Show
The light comedy “Morning Glory” reminds us how women can handle a multitude of tasks simultaneously. Becky Fuller is an energetic and determined producer who is transferred to save a morning TV show with plummeting ratings. The show’s format is considered outdated, the team is demotivated, and host Mike Pomeroy (that’s Harrison Ford, by the way) openly despises topics like recipes and horoscopes. In short, it’s a film about a generational clash — and we love that.

Becky introduces bold ideas: adds current reports, changes the news delivery style, and restructures the team’s workflow. She fights prejudices about the “unseriousness” of the morning format and proves that even something routine can be made bright and in-demand. The film shows how determination and an unconventional approach can transform even the most hopeless endeavor. “Morning Glory” is a huge tribute to women who know how to take the bull by the horns and make the world brighter no matter what.
